  1. I like your car wash conveyor-are you going to work on rollovers as well?

what did you use as cloth?

Lawrence Technological University actually purchased this project from our team. In the future, other senior project teams may decide to improve on our design. I would like to see a touchless, brushless small scale carwash which involves robotics and mechatronics.

The cloth is called ‘The Absorber’. It is the original PVA drying skin. We found that it mimics most properties of cloths used at car washes when wet.

  10. Awesome, I love the realism you have here. Do you mind if I ask what kind of fans you built the air dryer from, and how well it dries the car? I build miniature models of car washes myself and I was wondering if you could recommend a good source of where to obtain these kinds of fans or the brand name you used in this project. Thanks!

    this is cool

  16. @Trial2JZGTE Real car washes today don’t scratch cars. They stoped doing that in the 70s. Before they used bristle, thats what scratches cars. 95% of car washes today use cloth and soft closed cell foam. Cars don’t get scratched anymore. So have no fear car washes don’t scratch cars anymore.

  17. I love that model. Your equipment resembles real car wash equipment made by the company of Belanger inc.
